Important Service Note
Audi factory service manuals classify this as a "one-time use" stretch bolt. Because it is torqued to a specific yield limit during installation, the metal stretches to ensure maximum holding power. For safety reasons, it cannot be reused or reinstalled once removed; you must replace it with a new bolt whenever you remove the brake caliper bracket (such as during a brake rotor replacement).
